My name is P.J. Arthur, I am the former founder of NFIC (Sold to World Floor Covering Association in 2024)
I am married with 5 children, and 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

I started in 1964 as an apprentice when Woven & Tufted Wool was the only products on the market. From there I went into business for myself in 1967. Through the 70s and 80s I worked as an installer and did some sales for carpet as well. In the 902 I became involved with manufacturing and continued with sales and installations.

I worked as a trouble shooter with installers, as well as doing inspections for retailers and distributors. Currently I work closely with mills such as Bloomsburg Mill, Design Materials, and Kaleen Carpet. THe natural products are where I started and that is where my comfort zone is.

I have watched synthetics come and go, but Woven and Tufted Wools have remained steadfast and have kept their integrity in the marketplace. Synthetics have tried for years to emulate wool, but wool is a natural product.

In 2006 I started NFIC (Natural Fiber Installers Certification) for several reasons. Natural fiber was my background and that is what I specialize in. The main reason for starting NFIC was to continuing education for the installers, salespeople and inspectors.
